Jerome Arnold (born Romeo Maurice Arnold, November 12, 1936, Chicago, IL)〔Eagle, Bob; Eric S. LeBlanc (2013), ''Blues - A Regional Experience'', Santa Barbara: Praeger Publishers, p. 70. ISBN 978-0313344237〕 is an American bassist known for his work with Howlin' Wolf 〔("The Paul Butterfield Blues Band" ), ''Los Angeles Times'', June 23, 1994.〕 and The Paul Butterfield Blues Band in the 1960s.〔("Butterfield Blues Band Offers Moving Experience" ), ''Montreal Gazette'', May 29, 1967.〕 His playing appears on the albums ''The Paul Butterfield Blues Band'' and ''East-West.'' He was a member of the Butterfield Band at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, and was among the musicians who supported Bob Dylan for his controversial performance at that Festival.〔(''Boston Herald'' ), August 2, 2002.〕
